MAZAR-E-SHARIF (SW): Late last night, a man in the northern province of Balkh, opened fire on his kin, leaving four women dead and two more wounded.
This incident took place in Palas Posh village of the Balkh district in Balkh province.
Gen. Rzaq Qadiri, the security chief for Balkh police told Salam Watandar that a man, using Kalashnikov, has killed four of his female relatives and wounded two others including a man.
Qadiri noted the assassin has managed successful escape, but efforts to identify and arrest him is underway.
In the meantime, Dr. Noor Mohammad Faiz, the head for Abn-i-Sina Hospital in Balkh province, stated that last night they received three wounded people. He further said that one of the injured persons were from Balkh district and the two other of them were from Koh-i-Alburz.
Faiz noted that the health condition of them were fine and they were discharged after receiving first aid.
Family dispute is considered the motive behind this incident.
