
KABUL (SW): The Ministry of Rural Development and Rehabilitation (MoRRD) has announced execution of the Citizens’ Charter related programs would commence next month.
Naseer Ahmad Durani, Minister for the Rural Development and Rehabilitation told journalists in Kabul on Saturday citizens across the country would be provided with services and development in health, agriculture, electricity and water related sectors. Durani said this World Bank (WB) supported program has been properly planned in the past six months.
He added the Citizens’ Charter is part of the ten year development plan which would cost $ 1 billion in the first four years. The Minister stressed stern anti-corruption mechanism has been put in place to ensure transparency in projects related to the Citizens’ Charter. He added up to $ 1.5 billion have been spent on different development projects related to the Citizens’ Charter in the past 14 years in villages across Afghanistan.
