JAWZJAN (SW): A high level official who didn’t want to be named said to Salam Watandar that the government has appointed a person as the commander of police in Qosh Tapa in Jawzjan that has no military knowledge and skills and supports Daesh (ISIL) in this district. According to him, Qosh Tapa security forces are not allowed to shoot at Daesh (ISIL) forces, and for this reason, the strength of this group is increasing every day.
Hafizullah Nudrat, a member of provincial council of Jawzjan also told Salam Watandar, that Ezatullah Wardom, commander of police of Qosh Tapa, along with Daesh (ISIL) equipment, graft 400,000 Afghani a month of fuel and food money for the police forces in this district. He claimed that the commander of police has indented to assassinate him, and the person who was supposed to kill him, is now in the custody of the national security forces and has confessed to his intention for crime.
This member of the provincial council added that Ezatullah Wardom was receiving 12 months of salaries of 12 imaginary police and also with the creation of police check points took money by force from passenger vehicles.
A number of soldiers who do not want to disclose their identities also approved that Ezatullah Wardom supported Daesh (ISIL) and said that the equipment that they must have, were given to Daesh (ISIL) forces and “in all these cases the commander of police of Qosh Tapa is involved”.
But Mr. Wardom denies these allegations and said he is being blamed because he didn’t obey the choices of Hafizullah Nudrat, and it is conspiracy against him.
Faqir Mohammad Jawzjani, chief of police of Jawzjan also said that the troop’s food and fuel were supplied accurately and according to the list, and no one will be allowed to rob soldiers throughout Jawzjan.
Qosh Tapa is one of the insecure districts of Jawzjan and Daesh (ISIL) has a large presence in the district.
