KABUL (SW) – The Embassy of Pakistan in Kabul would resume normal issuance of visas on Sunday, an official statement confirmed.
The Embassy of Pakistan noted in a tweet that the visa services would resume normally on Sunday.
Last month, Pakistan closed its consular office in Kabul, citing unspecified security reasons. Pakistan's Foreign Ministry had said Afghanistan's charge d'affaires has been summoned to "convey serious concerns over the safety and security" about its diplomats in Kabul.
Pakistan said in a statement that its embassy staff members had been "obstructed on the road and the embassy vehicles were also hit by motorcycles while going towards the embassy."
The latest development came amid reports about Afghanistan re-opening its Consulate in Peshwar city after closure for months over a land dispute in Pakistan.
