28/11/2017

SAMANGAN (SW): This morning, a number of staff of the Directorate of Education of Samangan, accompanied by the deputy director and a number of members of the Ulema Council, attended a protest rally and called the recent activities of the Director of Education as illegal.
Abdul Matin Sarwari, head of Directorate of Education in Samangan, recently imposed several controls on the current attendance list of school staff and teachers in the province and marked several of them absent.
Mohammad Hashim and Qari Aziz, two of the staffs of this department said that the head of the Directorate of Education made an excuse of the attendance and his strictness is baseless.
But the Department of Education problem is more than the complaints of a few employees. The complaints of the employees of the Directorate of Education to the Ulema Council and, on the other hand, a verbal conflict between the members of the Ulema Council and the Samangan Provincial Council, have further complicated the issue.

Mawlawi Abdul Halim Mobarez, deputy chairman of the Samangan Ulema Council and some other members of the council, said at a meeting held at the provincial headquarters to solve the education department's problem, that Khatul Shirzoi, a member of the Samangan Provincial Council, insulted the Ulema at the meeting.
But Khatul Shirzoi said that members of the Ulema Council first insulted her and a female employee of the Director of Education.
In any case, Abul Matin Sarwari, the head of the Directorate of Education in Samangan, emphasized that his activities in controlling the attendance of the staff of this directorate were completely legal, and a number of religious scholars who were involved in launching these protests have been absent from official work and have been busy with their own activities.
Meanwhile, the Department of Education in Samangan, due to the protest of a number of its staff and members of Ulema Council of Samangan,  has been closed to clients for the past two days.
