TALUQAN (SW): Police in Takhar province took a physician into custody over charge of sexual abuse against a 13-year-old girl.
Musadiqullah Muzafari, head of Criminal Investigations Department, informed the doctor named Ikramuddin Bakhtari and a female collaborator Dunya Begum have been taken into custody over the matter. A well-placed source informed Duna Begum facilitated triple rape of the minor by the suspect.
The father of the victim had lodged report with the police over missing of her daughter.
Razm Ara Hawash, head of the directorate of women affairs, said in this regard the victim has been sent to a shelter home, and the case has been referred to the attorney’s office.
Head of the provincial directorate of public health, Hafeezullah Safi, has confirmed a public hospital doctor has been taken into custody over the charge of rapping a minor.
