KUNDUZ CITY (SW): The director for Sher Khan Port has been suspended on the charge of cooperating in confiscation of one thousand five hundred acres of state land.
Arif Mobashir, provincial director for the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) in Kunduz told Salam Watandar that Imam Mohammad Sarshakhi, director at the SKP is accused of facilitating illegal real estate dealings at the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border.
Sarshakhi did not respond to the AGO’s notices in this regard hence the court issued notice suspending him.
However, Sarshakhi has rejected all allegations against him, and said that he has responded to all notices of the court in time. He also added that according to a decree issued by the government 15 years ago, 1400 acres of land was added to SKP, but the lands were grasped by warlords. Efforts by the local government have been in vain for reclaiming the land.
