Danish introduces Jahid to WJ

KABUL (SW): The Second Vice President Sarwar Danish on Monday formally introduced the designate Minister of Interior, Attorney General and a new judge for the Supreme Court to the Wolesi Jirga (lower house).

The house will now vote to either approve or reject these men for the said posts.

Gen. Taj Mohammad Jahid was introduced to the lawmakers for the post of Minister of Interior. Mohammad Farid Hamidi has been fielded for the post of Attorney General while Mohammad Zaman as a judge of the Supreme Court. The house’s approval was first sought to field these candidates simultaneously.

The VP expressed hope that the house would approve the choices made for these important posts. Danish informed the WJ that soon a designate minister of defense and head of the spy agency National Directorate of Security (NDS) would be nominated.

It is worth noticing that currently Mohammad Masoum Stanikzai is acting as interim defense minister while the NDS is being headed by the deputy director. The post of the minister of interior got vacant when the Noorul Haq Ulomi stepped down for unannounced reasons.
