GHOR (SW) – A protest demonstration against alleged unfair aid distribution turned violent in Ghor on Saturday.
Eyewitness said police opened fire on the protesters as the demonstration turned violent at the provincial administration compound leaving at least four people and two policemen killed.
According spokesman for the police headquarters, Mohammed Ameen some criminal and people linked to 'enemy' infiltrated ranks of the protesters resulting in exchange of fire. He said two policemen got killed and dozens of others got injured.
Reports suggest a local journalist covering the demonstration is also killed.
