MAZAR-I-SHARIF (SW): Trade deals worth $ 2 million were reportedly signed at the Afghanistan and Iran Exhibition held in Mazar-e-Sharif on Thursday.
Organizers of the exhibition expressed hope that such initiatives would help boost bilateral trade between the two neighbor states.
Arish Younisi, President of the Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI), said on the occasion that the visiting Iranian businessmen have shown keen interest in importing dry fruits from Afghanistan. Ali Sadr Zada, a member of the visiting Iranian trade delegation said that it was premature to predict the outcome of the exhibition.
Aside from medical and construction items, dry fruits and a range of other consumer items were put on display at this trade fair.
