HERAT CITY (SW) – A deadly road accident in Herat province has claimed the lives of eight members of a single family, an official confirmed.
The traffic accident took place last night on the Herat-Kandahar highway in Herat's Adraskan district when a speeding car collided with a truck.
Jailani Farhad, spokesman for the governor of Herat, said three women, three children and two men from the same family had been killed in the traffic accident. According to him, one child was seriously injured and his condition is serious.
The victims of the traffic accident were residents of Kapisa province who were traveling from Herat to Kandahar.
