KABUL (SW): Officials have confirmed the death of five people following a suicide attack – claimed by Daesh, in Kabul on Wednesday.
According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), the attacker was on foot, and he tried to target government employees who were leaving for their homes. Najib Danish, a spokesman for Interior Ministry, has said that the blast left five people dead and 10 more injured. He added the attacker detonated his explosives before reaching his target.
The Daesh terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack in an online post.
President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has condemned the latest attack. “The enemies of Afghanistan have once again martyred and injured a number of my country mates to create panic and fear with this terrorist attack in Kabul”, Ghani said in a message.
