KABUL (SW): At least five attackers armed with heavy arms attacked an outpost close to the Marshal Fahem Military Academy in the capital Kabul before dawn on Monday.
Gen. Dawlat Waziri, spokesman for the Ministry of Defense (MoD), told media that a unit of the Afghan National Army (ANA) close to the MFMA was targeted in Monday’s attack. He said five soldiers lost lives in this attack while four terrorists have been killed, and one arrested.
The pro-Daesh militants have claimed responsibility for the attack. In a statement on the Amaq propaganda news agency, the group has posted statement claiming the attack on the MFMA in Kabul.
The MFMA was attacked last year as well on the 21st October 2017 in which fifteen cadets were killed when the bus they were traveling in was targeted in a suicide bombing.
