KABUL (SW): Daesh has taken responsibility for a deadly attack on a military hospital in the heart of Afghan capital Kabul on Wednesday.
According to the officials, more than 30 people have died in this attack.
Afghan officials have said at least four suicide attackers stormed the Sardar Dawood Khan Hospital, also known as the 400-Bed Hospital early in the morning. At first, a suicide bomber detonated his explosives at the entrance while the rest entered the hospital making their way to the second and third floors.
The IS claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement on the site of its news agency Amaq. It said, "Islamic State commandos attack the military hospital in Kabul." It claims to have killed over 100 people in this attack. On their part, the Afghan Taliban have denied any involvement in this attack. Zabehullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesman said in a message today's Kabul attack has no connection with the Taliban.
