JAWZJAN (SW): The Daesh militants have forced the residents of Moghol and Awlad villages in Darzab district of Jawzjan to leave their homes and also leave the doors open.
The residents of these villages who have been displaced to Jawzjan city said that the militants have forced them to leave their homes, and have also warned them that they will be killed if they tried to return.
These displaced people also said that a number of civilians have been killed and injured as a result of clashes between the security forces and the militants. They said the militants did not allow them to transfer the dead bodies and the injured people.
Amanullah, the district police chief, told Salam Watandar that about 400 families have been displaced due to the fighting. Amanullah informed that the situations of displaced families are alarming, and more and more people are getting displaced on dialy basis.
Darzabd district has been insecure for the past few months due to the presence of pro-Daesh militants in this district, however, the security forces have launched a clean-up operation in the area.
