KABUL (SW) – The De Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) has announced to take the defaulters with pending dues of more than AFN 5 million to the courts.
Amanullah Ghalib, chairman DABS, told journalists here on Wednesday the president has issued directives to introduce such defaulters to the High Centre for Justice against Institutional Corruption in case the dues are not paid within three months.
According to the DABS officials, such defaulters have been informed through media and notices, but so far none of them took actions towards paying the dues.
Mr. Ghalib said the list of DABS defaulters has also been shared with the Independent Election Commission (IEC), and now it is the authority of this electoral body to reject the nomination papers of such people.
He added over the past 8 months, out of AFN 11.5 billion worth of outstanding dues, the power utility has recovered AFN 2.5 billion.
