KABUL (SW): The Shaikh Zahid public hospital in Kabul on Tuesday launched neurological surgery department that would provide free of cost services.
Wahdat Alakozay, head of the Shaikh Zahid hospital, said on the occasion this department is well-equipped to conduct neurological surgeries. He said the citizens now need not to travel abroad for treatment in this field.
Ferozuddin Feroz, Minister of Public Health, hailed the launching of this department as a milestone in the health sector.
The Shaikh Zahid hospital was built with the financial support of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) ten years ago. The establishment of the neurological surgery department delayed due to differences between the Ministry of Public Health and the hospital management.
