KABUL (SW): The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MoRRD) on Sunday inked contracts for 38 development projects with private firms and village development councils.
Mujibur Rehman Karimi, Minister for the MoRRD, oversaw the signing ceremony that would see these projects implemented in nine different provinces. Among these include Badakhshan, Baghlan, Daikundi, Ghor, Kunar, Nangarhar, Paktia, Kandahar and Panjshir.
The Minister expressed optimism implementation of these project would lift agriculture in these provinces. He urged the contracting firms to ensure timely completion of these projects on high standards.
The MoRRD officials said on the occasion that more than a thousand development projects worth AFN 5 billion have been implemented across the country this year. They added these projects also created jobs for thousands of countrymen besides improving lives of many more.
