KABUL (SW) – The Khateez Civil Movement on Wednesday warned eastern provinces of Afghanistan would be turned into another Waziristan if effective measures for peace are not ensured.
Waziristan is a tribal region bordering the Paktia region where armed insurgents have bastions.
Dr. Wadood Afghan, head of the KCM, told a moot in this connection that the regional spy agencies and local warlords, mafia elements and land-grabbers are collaborating to destabilize the eastern parts of Afghanistan. He charged the government has no plan in sight to counter such evil plans.
He stressed the officials are aware of such individuals and groups, but no action is taken against them.
The KCM gave the government two months’ time to take actions for peace and stability, or the group would take actions on its own.
