SHEBERGHAN (SW): Security sources have said a clergyman has been arrested for raping an 11-year-old boy in Jawzjan province.
Rahmatullah Turkistani, the provincial police chief, told Salam Watandar that the clergyman was caught by police raping the minor in Jaza area of Aqcha district on Saturday.
According to Turkistani, the minor, a student in the Madrasa (religious school) where other students were given off by the Mullah (clergyman) and the victim was kept under the pretext of shopping for the Mullah.
The family of the victim has urged the judicial entities to provide justice to them.
The provincial police chief alleges that the Mullah has raped children previously as well.
