LASHKARGAH (SW): Deadly clashes that erupted in Helmand’s Grishk district on Friday ended early on Saturday with all four attackers gunned down.
Umar Zwak, spokesman for the provincial governor, told Salam Watandar that the attackers have been gunned down by the security forces at around 03:00 am. He added members of the Afghan National Army (ANA)’s Special Forces and Commando Forces also took part in this operation. He added only two members of the Afghan National Police (ANP) got wounded in this offensive.
The governor’s spokesman asserted that situation is now under full control. He affirmed that the local traders have sustained losses due to these clashes near a money exchange market in the district.
Meanwhile, Qari Yosuf, a spokesman for the Taliban, has claimed in a statement that tens of the security personnel have been killed in this attack.
