KUNDUZ (SW) – A member of the Kunduz provincial council informed a U.S. air strike has killed 13 members of a family in the province.
Mohammad Nusrat, member of the provincial council, informed the air strike took place in the Chahar Dara district in which 13 members of a family got killed and six more got wounded.
Zalmay Farooqi, district governor, has confirmed the air raid, but did not share details about the casualties.
Meanwhile, Saifuddin Aziz, commander of the Afghan National Army (ANA) in the area, has discarded reports about civilian casualties. He said the Afghan and the U.S. forces have launched joint offensives against the rebels in the district. He added those killed are Taliban fighters.
