SHEBERGHAN (SW) – The over 20 security forces killed in Jawzjan earlier this week were first made unconscious by the cook through certain substance in their food.
The governor of Aqcha district, Ghulam Sakhi Subhani, has confirmed this. He told Salam Watandar the security situation here has deteriorated. He said among those killed in this Taliban attack included 20 soldiers, 2 members of the local uprising force, one policeman and a civilian while ten more members of the security forces got injured.
A well-placed security source told Salam Watandar the incident took place at around 02:35 am on Tuesday. A provincial council member, Amruddin Danishjo, said the Taliban took away five security forces with them.
The spokesman for the army’s 209 – Shaheen Corps, Muhammad Haneef Rezaey, has only confirmed the attack without sharing the death toll.
