KABUL (SW): Speaking to Salam Watandar, Mujib Rahimi, the spokesperson for Chief Executive Office said that Abdullah Abdullah left Kabul for Turkey on Monday to attend the World Humanitarian Summit there.
Rahimi added that Abdullah would talk about different aspect of Afghanistan’s needs in various areas during the summit. The spokesperson for the CEO said that in this summit, Abdullah would focus his talks on specific issues such as the refugee crisis and the condition of displaced Afghans within the country due to violence and natural disasters.
The Afghan Chief Executive Officer is also scheduled to meet a number of UN officials, diplomats and world leaders in separate meetings. Abdullah is accompanied by a number of high ranking officials.
War, poverty and natural catastrophes are the main the causes that have kept Afghanistan in need for international humanitarian aid. Unemployment, insurgency, insecurity and natural disasters are considered as the main reasons that have kept Afghanistan dependent on humanitarian aid.
