MONITORING (SW) – CEO Abdullah Abdullah attended the inaugural session of the World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa in Jordan on Saturday.
According to the statement issued by his office, Abdullah would address the WEF – MENA over extremism and efforts for peace in Afghanistan. It added the Afghan CEO would meet King Abdullah II of the host country Jordan, UN Secretary-General António Guterres and a number of other world leaders on the sidelines of the event.
The moot would see experts and decision makers deliberate on matters related to financial and monetary systems, cyber security, women empowerment, digital economy and climate change, healthcare and other relevant matters.
The World Economic Forum is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. The Forum engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.
It was established in 1971 as a not-for-profit foundation and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. It is independent, impartial and not tied to any special interests. The institution blends and balances the best of many kinds of organizations, from both the public and private sectors, international organizations and academic institutions.
