GHAZNI CITY (SW) – A car bombing in Ghazni province late on Saturday claimed the lives of at least seven security forces, the interior ministry confirmed.
Tariq Arian, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, said in a statement that the incident took place in the Kotal-e-Roza area of the city killing seven policemen and injuring 16 others. The incident took place at around 8:00 pm, he said.
Ahmad Khan Seerat, spokesman for the police in Ghazni, also confirmed the incident. He added a Humvee packed with explosives was rammed into a security compound.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
