Calls for bridging gap between security institutions and people

KABUL (SW): Abdullah Abdullah, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Unity Government (NUG) has underlined the need for closer cooperation among the people and the security forces.

He said this while addressing a gathering of the Kabul Provincial Council members and members of the security forces. He said the government and the people are committed for national interests, and with that backdrop the security forces have ensured peace and security in Kabul and other parts of the country. Abdullah stressed lack of trust and cooperation among the people of Kabul and their representatives with the security institutions deteriorates the security situation.

The CEO urged upon the security institutions to bridge the gap with the people. He also held government officials accountable in regard to the Right to information Act, and stressed that the media representatives should be provided with timely and accurate information.
