Cache of arms confiscated form Takhan police officer’s home

TALUQAN (SW): A large cache of arms, ammunition and fake vehicle number plates have been confiscated from the residence of a police officer in Takhar.

Khalil Aseer, spokesman for the police headquarters, informed that the police officer named Baryalay allegedly killed a man at his residence. He said when the investigation teams reached his home for inquiry, they found the cache of arms, ammunition and fake number plates there.

As per information provided by the official, this cache included as many as 23 AK47, 16 rifles, two rocket launchers, two police pick-up vehicles, four number plates of police vehicles and four number plates of Wolesi Jirga (lower house) and four number plates of private cars.

The suspect has been taken into custody, and investigations are underway.
