KABUL (SW) – President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has picked ten more proposed ministers to complete the cabinet, Sediq Sediqqi, presidential spokesman said on Monday.
Sediqqi told a press conference that Bashir Ahmad Tayang has been nominated for the Ministry of Works and Social Affairs, Nisar Ahmad Ghoriani for the Ministry of Trade and Industries, Qudratullah Zaki for the Ministry of Transport, Masouma Khawari for the Ministry of Telecommunications and information Technology, Fazal Ahmad Manwai, for the Ministry of Justice, Syed Saadat Mansur Naderi, for the State Ministry of Peace Affairs, Anwaarul Haq Ahadi, for the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Muhibullah Samim, for the Ministry of Tribal and Border Affairs, and Noor Rahman Akhlaqi for the Ministry of Refugees and Returnees while Abbas Baseer for the Ministry of Higher Education.
This came months after President Ghani and his electoral rival, Abdullah Abdullah, chairman for the High Council for National Reconciliation, inked a political deal to end the impasse. However, differences over the formation of the cabinet remained.
