RIO DE JANEIRO (SW): On the 10th day of Rio 2016, Thiago Braz of Brazil stunned favorite Renaud Lavillenie of France with a 6.03m jump that earned him gold, the host nation's second of the Games.

This world record jump raged party across Rio. Another highlight of the day was the last moment dive by Shaunae Miller of the Bahamas to win the women 400m. With the dive, she beat the American track legend Allyson Felix by the length of her lunging arm, or 0.7 seconds.

Among other winners was Sharon van Rouwendaal of the Netherlands, who pulled away over the final lap to win by 17.4 seconds in the women’s open-water swim. In Greco-Roman wrestling, Mijain Lopez Nunez of Cuba won a gold medal in his third straight Olympics, defeating Riza Kayaalp of Turkey in the final.

Also on Monday, the Great Britain added to its gold medal count in the equestrian individual dressage finals, when Charlotte Dujardin, riding Valegro, took the gold with a score of 93.857. The United States still leads in gold medals and overall medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics, but Great Britain and China continue to add to their counts to at least make it interesting.

On the medal table, the United States has 26 gold, 22 silver and 24 bronze taking the total to 72 medals. On second slot stands Great Britain with 16 gold, 16 silver and eight bronze earning a total of 40 medals. China remains third with 15 gold, 14 silver and 17 bronze that compiles to a total of 46 medals at the end of day 10 in the ongoing Rio 2016 Olympics.
