KABUL (SW) – Wais Ahmad Barmak, minster for the Ministry of Interior, on Saturday warned police officials at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul against harassing passengers, particularly women and girls.
After introducing new security officials at the HKIA, the minister said those found guilty of harassing passengers would be trialed in 'ّMahkama Sahraee' i.e. court-martialled. Barmat stressed security officials at the airport present the face of the whole police force of Afghanistan, hence, they should behave well particularly with the travelers.
This comes after allegations by many women and girls against the police force at the airport.
