DHAKA (SW): Bangladesh on Sunday announced the squad for the upcoming three-match T20 series against Afghanistan next month.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Sunday announced a 15-member national squad recalling batsman Mosaddek Hossain to play their first-ever bilateral three-match T20 International series against Afghanistan beginning on June 3 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in the Indian city of Dehradun.
The two sides would play their remaining two T20 matches on June 5 and 7 respectively, all at 7:00 pm (Afghanistan time) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun.
Bangladesh T20 Squad: Shakib Al Hasan (Captain), Mahmudullah (Vice-Captain), Tamim Iqbal Khan, Soumya Sarkar, Liton Kumar Das, Mushfiqur Rahim, Sabbir Rahman, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Ariful Haque, Mehidy Hassan Miraz, Nazmul Islam Apu, Mustafizur Rahman, Abu Hider Rony, Rubel Hossain and Abu Jayed Chowdhury Rahi.
So far, the two sides have only faced each other in one T20 match in 2014, which was won by Bangladesh by nine wickets. The Afghan side is already in India preparing for the matches. The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has so far not announced the final squad for this series.
After this series, Afghanistan would face top class Indian squad for an historic test match on June 14 in Bangalore.
