BAMYAN (SW) – The Second Bamyan Winter Tourism Festival has commenced that would feature sports fixtures, music and theater performances and much more.
According to the local officials, exhibitions of handicrafts, cuisine, ski competitions, horse race on the ice, music, poetry and other attractions would be there to attract more and more visitors.
On Friday, the festival began with horse race competition between teams from Bamyan and Parwan provinces.
Speaking on the occasion, deputy minister for information and culture, Muzgan Mustafawi said Bamyan offers exquisite location and avenues for domestic and international tourism.
Provincial governor, Mohammad Tahir Zuhair, dubbed tourism as the main source of income for the province.
