MAZAR-I-SHARIF (SW): Judicial and justice officials in Balkh said that the law is mainly violated in the province by security forces and other influential high-rankings.
Jafar Masbah, Head of Justice Department in Balkh, said that government officials misuse their power and interpret the law whatever way they please.
He said that there are a lot of people who are involved in violating law but due to some reasons he can not reveal their names.
He added that the department has prepared the list of violators but it is beyond their authority to publish it.
Sayed Kamal Sadat, Police Chief in Balkh, said that they have arrested a number of such individuals and have introduced them to judicial institutions in the province.
Since the establishment of National Unity Government, building rule of law in the country has still been a challenge to be tackled despite a huge campaign by both national and international institutions to ensure it.
