KABUL (SW): The First Lady Bibi Gul inaugurated the Afghanistan Women Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI) here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, she said the AWCCI would play important role in the economic empowerment and self-reliance of women in the country. She added this body would create many opportunities for women entrepreneurs.
Dilbar Nazari, minister for Women Affairs, said on the occasion that the inauguration of AWCCI would also pave way for economic growth in the country. She said this chamber would particularly come handy in resolving many issues faced by businesswomen.
The minister stressed women play fundamental role in strengthening the economy of a society and a nation. She added improved domestic economy helps lift the skills and abilities of women, and end violence and terrorism in the society.
Speaking on the occasion, Muneza Wafiq, head of the AWCCI, said efforts would be ensured to implement important programs for the welfare of women. She urged upon all countrymen to support economic empowerment of women.
