Australian trainer leaves Afghanistan Cricket Academy

KABUL(SW): In a message at the social media, Peter Anderson said today (Monday) was his last day in Afghanistan.

Anderson said, he fully enjoyed his stay in Afghanistan and has completed a successful tour. He did not mention if the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) ended his contract or he declined to continue. Karim Sadiq, national player, told Salam Watandar, Anderson was a good coach. Sources told SW the board has ended Anderson’s contract five months before it officially ends so the board would pay him for the rest of time. The contract was to end in February next year.

Anderson and National Cricket Team’s former coach Andy Moles were the two foreign experts training the Afghan team and both of them have now left. The national team would depart for Zimbabwe next month to play one day international and T20 matches.
