CHIGHCHIRAN (SW): Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers beat 4 traffic officers late Wednesday evening in Ghor.
The incident took place at the main roundabout of Feroz Koh city at the capital of the province. According to the eyewitnesses the incident took place when ANA vehicles did not follow traffic instructions.
Yaqoot Shah, head of traffic police in Ghor, confirmed the incident adding that the traffic officers had stopped ANA vehicles when they did not follow the traffic instruction after which the soldiers started beating the traffic officers and shot fires. “As a result 2 traffic officers were severely injured with combat knives and 2 others were beaten badly”, informed Shah.
Salam Watandar wished to speak with army officials in Ghor on the matter, but to no avail.
