KHOST (SW): The Arbaki forces in Khost, based on populace agreement, in addition to providing security to the residents, have also been preventing the smuggling of the ancient artifacts in Tanai district of Khost.

A number of these Arbakis told Salam Watandar that they have been providing security to their district with no demands for any compensation or privilege.

Rahimullah and Dr. Wali, two Arbaki forces said they have been serving their community and have also prevented the trafficking of ancient artifacts. According to them, if anyone of them is not present on their duty, he gets fined.

Sakhi Sarwar Miakheil, a writer in Khost told Salam Watandar that Arbaki forces are different from the militia forces because Arbaki forces not only provide security to their own region but also prevent the smuggling of ancient archaeological items.

The Arbaki forces have been created by the residents of Khost in the Tanai district after a number of people tried to smuggle the ancient archaeological items from this province to the neighboring country – Pakistan. One of the duties of the Arbaki forces in Khsot is to preserve the ancient artifacts.
