Arab billionaire eyes to invest in Afghanistan

KABUL (SW): Saudi Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has shown interest in investing in Afghanistan.

The billionaire was hosted by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani at the Arg (Presidential Palace) on Monday evening. Prince Talal said talks are underway with the Minister of Finance of Afghanistan to start cooperation. “Islamic countries should come together to fight poverty”, Ibn Talal said while talking to President Ghani.

The President of Afghanistan bestowed top civilian medal of “Amanullah Khan” on Al-Waleed Bin Talal. Ghani stressed that the Islamic countries should uphold its historical values, and deny the terrorists safe heavens.

Kabul-Riyadh trade was one of the main talking points the meeting here in Kabul. It is vital to note Prince Talal is the Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company.
