KABUL (SW): The ‘Junbish Guzar’ movement on Wednesday charged that the claims made by the National Unity Government for reforms are meant to ‘fool the masses’.
Haroon Motarif, leader of the movement, told a press conference in this regard that leaked documents from the Administrative Office of the President (AOP) prove a circle at the Arg (Presidential Palace) seeks ethnic superiority over others. Faheem Fitrat, vice president of the ‘Junbish Guzar’ said on the occasion these leaked documents prove ‘systematic discrimination’ against other ethnic groups.
The movement’s leaders said these documents show it is not a plan of an individual, but a comprehensive and inferior agenda for colective ethnic gains. They called for bringing all those involved in this conspiracy to justice.
Abdul Satar Dazabi, a member of the Wolesi Jirga (lower house), told Salam Watandar the President should take serious actions against ethnic discrimination in the NUG.
Meanwhile, Shah Hussain Murtazawi, deputy spokesman for the President, has said the President has always kept the Constitution supreme, and no one involved in such issues represent the President.
It comes as a telegram social media network identity associated with Sawabuddin Makhkakh – an employee of the AOP under its chairman Dawood Noorzai – shared documents that allegedly highlight directives regarding ethnic discrimination. Makhkakh has resigned from his post as the matter has caused a storm in the social media.
