KABUL (SW): The Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) worth 3.3 million dollars with Ministry of Urban Development Affairs and Housing (MUDH), Kabul Municipality, and Independent Development of Local Governance (IDLG) and UN-Habitat.
Wais Ahmad Barmak, the state minister for ANDMA, said the MoU is signed to be ready for god’s act in times of need. “With the help of World Bank, efforts are underway to develop means to tackle natural disasters”, informed Barmak.
Yourisha, the representative of UN-Habitat, also said with the implementation of the projects between UN-Habitat and 4 government entities at least 6 thousand families will directly or indirectly benefit in Kabul and Balkh provinces.
