TALUQAN (SW): A local resident in Takhar province’s Dasht-e-Qala district has claimed his wife died due to the alleged negligence of doctors in the local hospital.
Abdul Lateef, resident of the district, informed that doctors at the hospital left his wife unattended after birth of his child that led to her death.
Hafeezullah Safi, head of the directorate of health, said investigations have been launched into the incident.
Meanwhile, Wali Rasikh, head of the local non-government organization, partner of the directorate of health, has said negligence of a midwife at the hospital led to the unfortunate incident. He said the midwife has been terminated by the hospital.
A similar incident took place in the provincial capital Taluqan two months ago.
