HERAT CITY (SW): Head of Herat’s provincial council apprehended himself to police on Sunday afternoon.
Kamran Alizayi, head of provincial council, surrendered himself to police in Herat at the provincial police headquarters. He pronounced his surrendered in respect to law and the President of the country.
Abdul Ahad Walizada, police headquarters spokesman, has said that based on the arrest warrant issued by the Herat police chief, Kamran Alizayi apprehended himself.
Kamran Alizayi, pronounced the sentence of primary hearing of Afghanistan’s Anti-Corruption Justice Center (AAJC) as unjust and demanded appeal. “I am not lawless man, but I will stand against anyone who over rides law”, added Alizayi.
AAJC had previously noted that it is every person's right to appeal against the primary court’s judgment.
