KABUL (SW) – The council of presidential candidates on Wednesday demanded establishment of an interim set-up an end to the rule of the National Unity Government.
At a protest gathering here, Presidential candidate Mohammad Haneef Atmar, blamed President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani for misusing AFN 400 million from state funds for electoral campaign disguised as 100th Independence Day celebrations.
A number of participants at the protest demonstration also criticized President Ghani for abusing power. They stressed President Ghani should quit and hand over power to someone else.
We wished to have the views of the presidency in this connection, but to no avail.
