KABUL (SW): Afghanistan’s U-14 national football won the Subroto Cup 2017 in India, on Wednesday.
The Afghan U-14 national football team ended winning the Cup in a penalty shootout with a 5-4 difference against India's Chandigarh team.
The first and the second half of the match ended on equal footing, the fate of the game was determined by the penalty shootout.
Afghanistan's U-14 football team had defeated Assam team by 3-1 in their opening match.
The U-14 Afghan team defeated a Bangladeshi U-14 team in the quarter-finals and successfully entered the semi-finals.
In these games, including teams from Afghanistan and Bangladesh, 32 Indian teams played against each other in 8 groups.
