KABUL (SW): Afghanistan is all set to take on Cambodia on June 13 as part of the 2019 Asian Football Championship qualifiers.
The match would be played in Phnom Penh International Olympic Stadium at 15:30 Afghanistan time. Both teams have announced readiness for the game. Otto Pfister, the German coach for the Afghan side, said good performance of the team in recent matches against Maldives, Singapore and Vietnam has lifted its moral. Faisal Shayesteh, captain of the side, has also expressed optimism for victory over Cambodia in the forthcoming match.
Last week, Afghanistan National Football team's recent win over Maldives was dedicated to the victims and survivors of the recent Kabul blast. The friendly match between Afghanistan and Maldives was played on 06 June 2017. Afghanistan won the match 2-1. Half-time result was 1-1. Hassan Amin and Omid Popalzai scored for Afghanistan.
