KABUL (SW): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) announces preparations for the 7th Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA) in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
Adila Raaz, the deputy minister at MoFA, at a press conference on Saturday, said that the Conference will be held on November 14-15 in Turkmenistan. “The focus of the Conference is on programs that are valuable to Afghanistan and the region, such as energy, road construction, railways and international trade”, informed Raaz.
According to her, the Herat-Asia railway is one of the 30 of projects that the Afghan government will present at the conference. She added that marketing for women's products will be one of the key issues in the 7th Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan.
RECCA was first held in 2005 in Kabul and later in 2006, 2009, 2011, and 2012, in New Delhi, Islamabad, Istanbul, and Dushanbe respectively. The Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan is held every two years in member countries.
