KABUL (SW): The National Football Team defeated Singapore 2-1 in a match held in Takht-e-Stadium in Tehran.
Afghanistan took the lead within 39th minute when Khaibar Amani scored the first goal of the match assisted by Zubair Amani.
With overwhelming superiority over Singapore, Yousuf Shirzad made it two within 80th minute. Singapore managed to score a goal in the dying minutes.
Faisal Shaista was substituted for Yousuf Shirdel in the second half.Afghanistan started the match with smart offensives and threatened Singapore’s backline on a number of occasions.
Afghanistan for the first time managed to qualify for the Asian Championship Tournament.
It is worth mentioning that Singapore defeated Afghanistan in the first leg 1-0 on October last year.
