KABUL (SW): Afghanistan’s national football team would take on Jordan for an important international match on Tuesday.
According to the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF), the national team has reached Jordan from Oman where it played a friendly match against the home team. The match against Jordan would be played at the King Abdullah II Stadium in Amman, Jordan.
Syed Ali Kazemi, manager media affairs at the AFF, informed Salam Watandar that the game would commence at 9:30 pm Afghanistan time. It is a qualifying round for the 2019 Asian Football Championship (AFC) to be held at the United Arab Emirates. In its Group C for the 2019 Asian Football Championship qualifiers, Afghanistan is joined by Jordan, Vietnam, and Cambodia. Afghanistan had equalized its game against Vietnam and lost to Cambodia.
In its friendly match against Oman last month, Afghanistan witnessed a 2-0 defeat. The AFF has announced full readiness for the upcoming match against Jordan.
