QALAT (SW): An addicted policeman in Zabul province has shot his wife, sister and brother-in-law dead, an official said on Saturday.
Gul Islam Sayal, spokesman for the provincial government, told Salam Watandar that the addicted man has shot these people dead and has left his minor child wounded. He added the incident occurred in the Senk area close to the provincial capital Qalat city. Sayal noted that the policeman was a drug addict, and was serving in the Shenkai district of the province.
A similar incident occurred in Qalat last year, in which a drug addict killed seven members of his family.
Separately, four policemen have been killed by unknown attackers under suspicious circumstances in neighboring Helmand province. Umar Zwak, spokesman for the provincial governor, has said the incident took place in the Sur Gudar area in the provincial capital Lashkargah. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Few weeks back, an infiltrator posed as policeman killed up to 11 policemen in the 2nd Police District in Helmand.
